00:06
Hey guys, I'm Cordelia and these are my vibes.
00:09
My vibes are Mexican American.
00:12
I'm from Houston and Monterrey Mexico.
00:15
I was born in the States, but grew up most of my life in Mexico
00:19
So I'm very Spanglish and this new song that just came out called
00:23
Hear Me Out is Spanglish.
00:24
So all about my Hear Me Out is a track that I co-produced and
00:34
co-wrote with my friend Jane, we met during this pandemic
00:38
So I just felt kind of right to talk about the distance and how
00:42
everything is digital.
00:43
Now, how we're doing all these interviews even at a distance
00:46
Um And it's kind of like a way of preserve this moment in time
00:51
in like a song and saying like, hey, do you hear it's literally
00:54
like, do you hear me?
00:56
It's a really cool way of talking about long distance relationships
00:59
So we kind of did it that way and he's more a little bit more comfortable
01:02
in English and I'm a little bit more comfortable in Spanish
01:05
So we kind of like combine forces in that way.
01:08
He's just singing in English mostly.
01:11
And I'm mostly singing in Spanish.
01:13
So we're kind of also talking about like things that are lost
01:18
It's so I'm really proud of it.
01:25
So the visualizer is a very like down to earth kind of uh visual
01:31
It's exactly what the song talks about and it's representing
01:35
that in, I think a very cool way.
01:37
It's literally the phone, we wanted to make the red phone kind
01:41
It has its own emoji, it has its own like significance and it
01:45
talks a little bit of about time travel too.
01:46
So I was really excited about that.
01:48
And actually, Jane's girlfriend, uh cam was the one who worked
01:52
on this, she deleted and edited.
01:54
So we were really grateful it was meant to be, it was very meant
01:58
to be like she just had this idea and we both kind of understood
02:02
each other of like what the song to song.
02:04
So turned out great.
02:10
This video was shot right outside the palladium in L A.
02:14
So it, it just feels so nice to be able to include such a beautiful
02:18
landmark in the video because it's also, it also fits perfectly
02:22
to the vibe that we're trying to convey.
02:24
Like we have like a 19 fifties phone and it just makes sense
02:27
to have that kind of like old theater look to it and the way that
02:32
it lights up at night it's just a beautiful location.
02:35
So we're really happy to have been able to film today.
02:43
Well, there's like a moment throughout the day that it gets
02:46
a little bit more busy and we just had to, you know, talk to people
02:50
like, just came up to us.
02:51
Like, what are you guys doing?
02:52
Is this like a challenge?
02:52
Like people now assume that everything is like a social experiment
02:56
So they were really curious about that, but it was cool, it
02:59
was cool to be able to just like a visual of a song.
03:02
And a few of them actually went to check it out.
03:11
I really like to kind of give significance to every color that
03:14
I use in every visual and every music video.
03:17
I don't know this song to me felt very connected to glue and
03:21
just in the same way as the album does.
03:23
So it felt nice to be able to combine that in what I'm wearing
03:27
and the artwork of the album.
03:29
So it just feels like glue can be interpreted in very different
03:32
ways like sad but also happy like the sky.
03:36
There's something about the album artwork is blue because
03:46
I've always liked blue because it just, it reacts differently
03:49
depending on what color you add it to or what mood you add it
03:52
to and is a lot about different type of moods.
03:57
Every song is a kind of a slightly different mood and it talks
04:00
about a different imperfection that we feel like we have or
04:05
So I thought it was a nice way to just bring everything together
04:09
Hey guys, I'm Cordelia.

04:20

04:24
of those songs including Hear Me Out.
04:26
Me too for sharing my vibes but don't yet because my visualizer
04:29
for hear me out is about to play right after this.
