00:06
Hi, my name is Jack and these are my vibes.
00:10
My vibes are, you know, being a Chicana, my influences are
00:14
Amy Winehouse and I'm an artist from Dallas Texas 3 a.m. is
00:24
a song that I made when I was 17.
00:27
You know, I was really heartbroken.
00:28
You know, I was in love with another tough guy.
00:31
I like to tell a story throughout my song.
00:33
So I think for me, it was very important to write 3 a.m. because
00:37
back then, you know, as an influence I would look at and would
00:41
write songs like that.
00:42
And I wanted to make songs that tell a story.
00:45
I describe the vibe of this song just more like very soul.
00:49
It's not very intimate.
00:50
It can be like, it's like a sad song, but make it into a very fun
00:53
song.
00:54
I never really thought about, you know, doing a sad song like
00:58
a Lana Del Ray, sad song.
00:59
I just thought of like, you know, let's make it into a positive
01:01
thing.
01:02
You know, things happen for a reason.
01:03
Let's just make something out of it.
01:10
I went to L A and I met up with Amar Navarro.
01:13
She's my favorite videographer, she gave me an idea of the
01:16
concept and I gave her the idea of the concept and I don't know
01:19
like the vampires all of a sudden came out of nowhere.
01:22
And I really thought that was a great idea.
01:24
It's very unique and I'm a Twilight fan.
01:27
So I kind of wanted to have that inspiration out there.
01:30
So working with Anbar Navarro making this come true for me
01:33
is a cool like seeing it behind my eyes and seeing that she did
01:37
the vision and she saw the vision that I was seeing was amazing
01:40
and it was so fun.
01:41
Honestly, I never expected it to be that way, but I love it.
01:45
I love the concept when I went up to the studio, I was mentioning
01:54
that we were gonna be working 16 millimeter film and you know
01:58
it's a different process.
01:59
You have to like, you don't have to repeat yourself like the
02:02
same, you know, movement again.
02:03
You have to do like, OK, we gotta do an eight second shot and
02:06
we're done now.
02:07
We're gonna move to the next thing.
02:08
88 2nd shot.
02:10
We're done.
02:10
It's not like, oh like do that again.
02:12
No, do that again.
02:13
It's not like that.
02:14
So it was kind of like more trickier in a sense, but it's like
02:17
I actually like got a hang of it.
02:19
I actually was like, wow, this is different but this is cool
02:22
you know, it's quick it was quick but it was a long night of
02:25
like filming, but it was a quick like procedure.
02:33
I honestly adored my wig.
02:36
This is something that Lano dure would do and I was like, bro
02:40
like I'm living my 16 year old dream.
02:42
This I love the wig.
02:44
I love the makeup, the makeup artist.
02:45
I thank him for everything, you know, making me look like a
02:48
queen.
02:49
And the fun fact is that we ended up using my vomited 21st birthday
02:53
dress.
02:54
It was my birthday celebration like a couple of days ago and
02:57
my dress was dirty and I was telling everybody I'm how am I gonna
03:00
wear that?
03:00
You know, the stylist brought like a whole rack of like clothes
03:03
And so the director is like, I like that one who wear that one
03:06
And I was looking at my boyfriend and I was like, mama like we
03:10
were like watching it in the restroom where we were just taking
03:13
the stains off and then we had to put it on and you know, I thank
03:16
God she said that because that was a good book.
03:19
My name is Jack.
