00:06
I know you haven't been up here in a while.
00:10
welcome back to Lincoln Bio.
00:12
I'm Jenny. I'm Gene and we've got a great show for
00:15
you guys today and we got Gene back on stage.
00:21
but the real cheese man is this new ink that I'm seeing
00:25
on your arm. What is that?
00:27
Is that a little boa?
00:29
Yeah, it's a little bo freshly.
00:31
It looks like it was done recently.
00:34
We went to First Fridays,
00:36
me and Joel went to first Fridays and they were doing free
00:39
tattoos. Over here over here.
00:44
Look at this. So we got boas all last minute like
00:51
there would be another booth there if I would have gone out
00:58
it was so last minute.
00:59
Shout out to gray scale tattoos for my new tattoo.
01:03
I love it. And I mean,
01:07
if you guys wanna see it,
01:08
this is how it went down.
01:30
Jenny. I wish I would have been there.
01:32
I would have been the third little Botic.
01:35
You should have gone.
01:36
That would have been so nice.
01:37
Next time in other news podcast,
01:40
Austro Papa is in the building and Peso Pluma takes a fall
01:46
I know you saw the videos I saw that and we
01:50
get a clean breakdown on Biden's new immigration plan.
01:58
brother. Imagine you're in a jury and some random person drops
02:04
off $100,000 cash to your door at home for you to say
02:10
that they're not guilty and they say that there's more coming.
02:15
Would you take the money and run?
02:17
It's a lot of money.
02:18
And they said there's more,
02:20
it depends on how bad the case is.
02:22
If it's like, you know,
02:22
it's like a red light.
02:25
You know what? It's like,
02:27
no, if this guy killed like 10 people,
02:29
I'm like, it depends how much money it is.
02:37
brother, there are a lot of stories involving $100,000 bags of
02:42
cash this week. Well,
02:43
there are two, but that's still more than usual.
02:47
It's a lot of money.
02:48
So the first story involves a case accusing seven people of stealing
02:54
$40 million from a government program to feed Children.
02:59
That's fucked up. Yeah,
03:00
it's like 40 million from a government that's supposed to feed Children
03:04
You're stealing from kids.
03:09
apparently one of the child's jurors received 100 and $20,000 bribe in
03:13
exchange for them saying not guilty.
03:15
A woman knocked on the door with the money in the bag
03:19
and she said it is more where that came from.
03:22
That's crazy dude. So the juror reported the money to authorities
03:26
who took the money and then took the juror off the trial
03:31
The cops did, I guess.
03:33
Yeah, he took it but then he told the cops you're
03:36
the snake. But I mean,
03:39
he did the right thing.
03:40
Yeah. But that's like a novela,
03:42
a whole narcos thing going on.
03:44
Patron and throw them back at them.
03:48
I mean, it's tempting brother because if you really think about
03:50
it, you, you wanna buy your house,
03:53
you want, you're thinking of your family.
03:55
But at the end of the day you gotta do the right
03:57
thing. And in a sort of related case,
04:00
a very lucky couple in New York found a safe with $100,000
04:07
in a lake. They were magnet fishing in a park.
04:13
I guess you just throw a magnet,
04:14
whatever sticks to it.
04:17
they were magnet fishing in a park in Queens when they found
04:20
the safe with big stacks of freaking $100 bills.
04:26
I don't, I don't feel lucky like that magnet fishing.
04:31
Oh my God. I should go magnet fishing more often then
04:34
What the hell are we doing?
04:36
Oh, yeah. But apparently police are letting them keep the
04:38
money because it's not linked to any crime or there was no
04:40
way to find the owner.
04:41
So finders keepers dude and,
04:44
and the fact that they told the police and everything that was
04:47
that was pretty cool and they get to keep it the
04:51
good people right there.
04:52
We're doing something wrong.
04:53
We gotta go. Magnificent.
04:54
We go. What are we doing here?
05:02
Next story, brother.
05:07
Do you use protection?
05:10
Yes, now we do because we have a baby.
05:12
So we wanna kind of,
05:15
Well, brother, male birth control is right around the corner
05:18
It is an option just letting you know,
05:20
researchers say they are finally making progress on a long acting and
05:26
reversible birth control option for men.
05:29
And guess what? It's simple.
05:34
Creta? It's grandma like literally a gel on your penis or
05:38
something. No, you put it on your,
05:42
I think your shoulders,
05:44
your shoulders. So it's a gel.
05:47
You put it on your shoulders every day and there you go
05:53
You just put on your shoulders every day.
05:56
it sounds too good to be true.
05:58
What's the catch? What's the catch?
06:00
There's always a catch.
06:00
So men are warned that they could experience dry or oily skin
06:06
increased or decreased libido,
06:09
interesting hair growth or loss.
06:14
That's where you lost me.
06:15
Oh No. And mood swings.
06:19
This sounds like a freaking like pharmaceutical commercial,
06:23
but it doesn't compare to what we have to go.
06:25
Through as women like,
06:27
dude, Iu DS are painful,
06:29
like they are painful and I mean,
06:32
nothing compares to the nausea,
06:34
migraines, weight gain,
06:37
weight loss, mood changes.
06:40
I'm not, I'm not opposed to weight loss s heart problems
06:45
breast ovarian cervical cancer,
06:48
which is like, what we have to deal with as women
06:50
when we're on birth control.
06:53
that's a good point.
06:54
So, like, does it just kind of do I just
06:56
stop and it goes back?
06:58
Yeah. So the sperm count is returned to normal levels within
07:03
like two or three months.
07:05
Yeah. So after the recovery phase of the trial,
07:08
many of the participants actually went on to become fathers.
07:12
So proving that the method is fully reversible,
07:16
I'm kind of going to try this.
07:17
If I start seeing hair fall out,
07:18
then I'll stop and have Adrian massage it on you every night
07:21
But then what is it like a little for plays?
07:30
but I need to send this to my wife.
07:35
All right, breaking news and by breaking,
07:42
I mean, fracturing news.
07:45
Peso Pluma fractured his ankle at the New York governor's ball and
07:49
still finished the performance.
07:51
Fans report. He continued on with the concert and he struggled
07:55
walking for the remainder of the show.
07:57
My man's dead ass fractured his ankle three minutes into his set
08:01
And I've seen the videos of him just,
08:03
you know, hobbling around making sure you know,
08:06
the fan didn't disappoint his fans.
08:10
That's some king shit right there,
08:11
Jenny. I don't know about you but you know,
08:13
people pay to go see him and my man lived up to
08:17
man. I, I just really hope this injury doesn't impact
08:20
his upcoming tour, you know,
08:23
and after that new haircut,
08:25
I mean, he's locked in with that hat though.
08:27
What's going on? I know you don't want to show you
08:34
I'm just glad he's ok.
08:35
I'm ok to see him with the cast.
08:43
We are joined with Dara Lynn,
08:45
senior fellow at the American Immigration Council.
08:54
I'm ok. How are you folks?
08:55
Good, good, welcome.
08:57
Well, I'm a dive writing.
08:59
You just wrote an article about Biden's new immigration plan.
09:01
What's new and why did he do this?
09:03
So we'll start with the why?
09:05
Ok. The Biden administration believes that too many people are crossing
09:12
that most of them may not qualify for asylum,
09:14
but that they're all going into the asylum process anyway.
09:17
And so what it has done is say,
09:20
ok, for the most part,
09:22
if you cross between ports of entry into the US,
09:24
if you cross it right,
09:25
you won't be eligible for asylum,
09:27
you can still show that you need to stay in the United
09:31
States because you would be persecuted in your home.
09:33
Country or you would be tortured,
09:35
but they're making it harder for people to kind of pass through
09:39
the initial phases of that process.
09:41
And at the end of it,
09:42
what's available to you are these kind of lesser protections that like
09:46
don't come, you know,
09:47
don't lead to green cards or anything like that.
09:49
So, what they're hoping will happen is that they'll be able
09:52
to deport a lot of people faster and that,
09:55
that will send a message to people who might want to come
09:58
in future that they shouldn't bother because nobody can get it.
10:01
Wow. And do you feel like this new plan would work
10:06
even if you just say working on its own terms,
10:08
right? Like obviously it's a choice to say that the most
10:11
important thing about the immigration system is that it deports people quickly
10:14
But even just kind of looking at that the problems that
10:18
the US was facing before Tuesday weren't really that too many people
10:23
were passing through the initial screening process.
10:26
There were resource problems,
10:27
right? It takes money to charter flights on Ice Air,
10:32
to deport people. It takes money and space to hold people
10:36
in detention until you have those flights.
10:38
And so what we we were seeing was that a lot of
10:41
people were getting released into the United States,
10:43
not because they'd already passed the screening interview,
10:46
but because they just didn't have anywhere else to put them.
10:48
So without any additional resources.
10:51
And Tuesday's announcement didn't come with any additional resources.
10:54
It's a little hard to see how this problem gets fixed on
10:56
its own. So you kind of already highlighted some problems,
10:59
but essentially what do you think could go wrong whenever you kind
11:03
of have a crackdown on some people,
11:05
like, rather unless you have enough resources so that every single
11:09
person will have the same thing happen to them that is always
11:13
going to create disparities.
11:14
And so it's just going to be a little bit arbitrary.
11:16
What we've seen in the past is that when you have a
11:19
lot of options, it depends on like where you cross what
11:22
day you cross, what mood the border patrol agent was in
11:25
who screened you or,
11:27
who apprehended you. And so that means that people who do
11:30
have like legitimate claims of fear might be deported,
11:35
which would, you know,
11:36
violate international law because the US says it won't do that.
11:40
But at the same time that people who cross on a
11:42
different day in a different part of the US that they'll like
11:46
get held in border patrol custody for a few days and then
11:49
those facilities will become so over jammed that they'll just have to
11:52
start releasing people. So,
11:54
you know, it will be arbitrary,
11:56
not based on like the merits of people's claims,
11:59
but the message that's going to set the kind of word of
12:01
health network of oh,
12:02
can you come into the US or not,
12:04
you're still going to get a lot of mixed messages.
12:06
And what we know is that when people hear mixed messages,
12:08
they choose to believe the ones that are most favorable to them
12:11
which is going to be not,
12:12
you can still get in.
12:15
And what are critics saying about this.
12:18
Biden's critics from the more hawkish side have claimed for a while
12:23
that like the Biden administration has always had it in its power
12:26
to just stop people from wanting to come.
12:28
But by forcing them to,
12:30
by reinstituting the Trump administration's remain in Mexico policy right now.
12:34
Of course, that requires cooper operation from Mexico to take people
12:38
back who aren't Mexican citizens.
12:40
And everyone was kind of expecting that this new announcement would come
12:44
with Mexico taking some more people back as deportees and it hasn't
12:48
So there is kind of a reality problem with that line
12:52
of criticism. There's also,
12:54
you know, the criticism from the left that Biden ran on
12:59
protecting the right to asylum and ending some of these Trump policies
13:02
And actually like this particular thing is very similar to something
13:06
that Trump tried in 2018.
13:08
And so the idea that,
13:11
you know, in order to solidify Biden's political position against Donald
13:16
Trump, that they're going to do the kinds of things that
13:18
a Trump administration would do strikes a lot of people as hypocritical
13:22
and and really and a violation of the US humanitarian commitments.
13:28
Well, thank you so much,
13:29
Dara. And where can people follow you to learn?
13:31
You get more. You can follow me personally on Twitter or
13:36
blue sky at Deland on Twitter.
13:39
And you should definitely make sure to check out the American Immigration
13:42
Council www dot imco im MC O un cil.org.
13:47
Perfect. Thank you so much.
13:50
I appreciate your time.
13:56
All right, today we are joined by Gabriela and Alina who
13:58
have been openly sharing their IVF journey on tiktok.
14:01
So let's bring them on Gabriela Alina.
14:03
Hello. Hi. Who's this ocean?
14:10
This is our first IVF baby ocean.
14:27
Ok, we'll jump into it.
14:28
You guys decided to pursue your IVF journey in Tijuana.
14:33
And so why did you choose to go to TJ instead of
14:36
the US? I feel like there's a few different reasons
14:41
Here obviously in the US,
14:43
it's triple the price.
14:46
We definitely got quoted from like two different doctors about 25 to
14:52
40,000. It's kind of like if it works,
14:55
we lose it all and 40 grand is a big chunk to
14:58
lose versus we go to CJ.
15:01
We maybe spend 10 and that doesn't hurt my heart as much
15:05
It's not guaranteed then,
15:07
right? Like if you don't get your money back,
15:09
no, it's never guaranteed.
15:11
So like whatever how you can go all the way through your
15:15
process and at the end,
15:16
like if you just don't get pregnant after the transfer,
15:19
like all that money is gone.
15:22
I actually had a client too that did it here and lost
15:29
Yeah, you're definitely taking up.
15:32
You said it was 25 to 40 here and around and in
15:37
Mexico. And then for some reason,
15:39
our second round too is a lot cheaper than the first.
15:42
Well, we already have embryos saved the second round.
15:46
So now this time around we're spending way less versus the first
15:51
time. And you would say in Mexico,
15:53
it's like super legit like,
15:55
you know, basically the same thing but just cheaper.
15:59
I think everyone gets scared because it's Mexico.
16:02
They don't think it's legit.
16:03
But this clinic like you go into it,
16:05
you get blood work done.
16:07
All the results are in clinic,
16:09
the doctor, she's so well known.
16:12
There are so many people from the US that were sitting and
16:14
like everyone just starts to chit chat in the office and there's
16:19
so many people from everywhere.
16:20
She had the country,
16:21
Brazil, she had people from Texas like just different states and
16:27
countries. So like I feel like this doctor knows what she's
16:31
doing from seeing it from the doctor office from when we first
16:35
started with her to now like going into the second time the
16:38
doctor office has become a lot more,
16:41
a lot more busier Yeah.
16:43
What would you say is maybe one of the biggest challenges with
16:48
IVF. People say it's so hard,
16:50
like it's such a hard process to go through.
16:53
What would you say is one of the biggest challenges I think
16:56
it's a mental and physical draining like journey because you wanna believe
17:03
so hard that it's gonna work for you.
17:05
And so you wanna stay positive.
17:06
But there, there's always that like other thought in the back
17:10
of your head like I don't know,
17:12
I don't know what's gonna happen.
17:13
I don't know if it's gonna take and then physically like I
17:17
I'm the one that puts my body through it.
17:19
So like the shots and stuff and it hurts like the shots
17:23
hurt like and I like Alina will do my shots and stuff
17:29
and I know she hates to see me go through it too
17:31
So I think it's just both of us trying to like
17:33
push each other forward to like just keep going.
17:36
But it is like such a a draining process.
17:40
But the end like having her was such a like damn like
17:44
this is possible like we such a reassurance like we did it
17:49
once, let's do it one more time.
17:51
A little blessing. Thank you guys both.
17:56
I really appreciate you coming on.
17:59
I know this is a very like,
18:00
you know, a sensitive topic and we appreciate your transparency with
18:04
this topic. So thank you both.
18:07
I want the doctor's info too just in case because I'm getting
18:10
older too. So I like this could be for me later
18:13
on Tambien. So the thing is it's pretty cheap out there
18:18
too to freeze your stuff and just keep it in.
18:22
That's awesome. If you guys aren't sure.
18:23
Now you guys could always,
18:26
you're back. She'll make it happen.
18:28
Oh my God. I need her info please.
18:30
And where can people follow you on social?
18:31
And they've been posting about your journey on tiktok.
18:33
Yeah. So it's two underscores GG 400 you could Well,
18:44
show him some love and thanks again for joining us.
18:48
Thank you. Thank you.
18:50
Bye. We are here with the podcast,
18:57
Augusto, Papa. Welcome to.
19:00
No, these are my one.
19:02
We appreciate the. So what's your most wild green room story
19:09
Damn, I think one that happened pretty recently is that
19:12
it was the very first time hosting an event.
19:14
We were really nervous.
19:16
We didn't really know what was going on and they had
19:19
us waiting, you know,
19:19
in this, in this room and we were sharing it,
19:21
I guess with the guy that's supposed to take care of
19:24
like the drinks that the artists get and everything,
19:26
I guess. Like they have like really strict guidelines on that
19:30
Jito Paca was there,
19:31
Lucero was there and it was like six artists and they
19:33
each had like 75 beers and like,
19:35
three bottles each. And,
19:37
I mean, I guess that's like part of like,
19:38
the contract, you know,
19:39
I've never seen so much alcohol and they were like,
19:42
we're like, really nervous.
19:44
And then the guy's like,
19:45
sorry, I can't do it.
19:46
Like, it's in the contract,
19:48
Yeah. Then after they gave us,
19:49
they gave us one for us.
19:52
Yeah. But then he's like,
19:53
I guess I understood.
19:54
He said he could get in trouble.
19:55
Like if I guess they did count them.
19:57
We went, we went on the stage all sober and scared
20:01
Yeah. Yeah. We actually went on stage.
20:04
I had to cook but it was empty.
20:05
It was trying to show that he was drinking.
20:12
Oh yeah. So there was one time where we went to
20:16
Grupo Frontera album release party bio,
20:18
the singer of Grupo Frontera.
20:20
He wanted to prank one of the members.
20:22
So he, we brought a snake and while he was getting
20:26
a haircut, he threw the snake on him and he had
20:28
like the most insane reaction and for some reason we got hate
20:32
for it. Like I was like that was,
20:36
yeah, that was pretty crazy.
20:37
Like mayo like produced the whole idea.
20:40
Yeah. And then after that,
20:41
like he he took it on stage with him while he
20:44
that was pretty crazy.
20:45
And then we actually interviewed him,
20:46
maybe last month and he said it was like the
20:48
coolest, like green Room,
20:49
experience that he's had so far.
20:51
So that was, that was pretty cool.
20:52
So we need like concert hacks because freaking prices through the roof
20:56
right now, how do you think we can finesse these prices
21:00
Like, do you guys have like some sort of like
21:01
little tricks or hacks?
21:03
I feel like we're like concert goer,
21:04
professional hat hats. Let's say when you don't buy the tickets
21:08
when they get announced,
21:09
wait until like, you know,
21:10
everyone leaves a website or buy them the day of the concert
21:14
for the cheapest. Yeah,
21:16
it's, I, I feel like it'd be a little nerve
21:18
like it's tomorrow I have my ticket but I think you,
21:20
there's always tickets, concerts are super expensive right now.
21:23
So I think you guys should definitely learn how to save some
21:26
money. But what's the heck you got?
21:30
no, no, no something I say is that I feel
21:32
like a, a misconception is that people are like,
21:35
oh, I got floor seats but I think like floor seats
21:37
are the most overrated because you know,
21:40
like the, the concerts right here,
21:41
like all the floor seats are this like,
21:43
if you're like, not in the first five rows,
21:45
then it's, you know,
21:46
there's a tall person in front of you and that's it.
21:49
Yeah, there's a tall person.
21:51
Yeah. Yeah. And then,
21:51
like, I feel like those always go for a premium.
21:53
I always suggest like the,
21:54
like the hundreds, like the first ones where it starts kind
21:57
those are the best ones on the side.
21:59
I see. Those are the best ones.
22:00
Those are the best ones.
22:02
what's your thought on the best of my haircut?
22:04
Because yeah, I think it's controversial.
22:06
I think it's such a big deal.
22:07
Yeah, because kids are we getting it like so many people
22:09
are getting it, kids fucking dogs and are kids still going
22:16
to get it now or what do you think on that?
22:18
I think the person who should have got the haircut should have
22:21
been jop, but I think everyone wanted it like that.
22:27
But I think best solu man needs the mullet to be honest
22:33
I think it was such a distinctive characteristic of and then maybe
22:36
like even a little polarizing,
22:37
you know, I don't think anybody else had it.
22:39
Honestly. When I saw that,
22:40
I thought it was fake,
22:41
I think, I thought it was just like a,
22:42
like a marketing scheme but it turns out it's,
22:45
it's real and I think this is kind of gonna be like
22:48
the phase two of Puma's career,
22:50
you know, it's like pretty boy phase pretty boy era.
22:53
So do you guys like,
22:54
trust the music industry and it's a very vague question,
23:03
I, I think honestly,
23:03
like you, you need to be like,
23:05
be last and you need to be like people with everything that
23:09
there's places or people that might wanna take advantage.
23:11
But I think there's also like the same way that there's people
23:14
wanna take advantage. Like it's also like great people that are
23:16
like, willing to help you out.
23:17
And I think it's just something that you have to like,
23:19
really take your time to learn and be open to,
23:23
to, to learn every day.
23:24
Yeah, just be nice to everyone.
23:26
Don't burn bridges but oh yeah.
23:29
00 Yeah, because my boy Angel be saying the most wildest
23:36
stuff of like on the podcast and then artists get mad and
23:40
like, why did you say this?
23:41
Like, oh you posted it on your story?
23:44
We're just headlining. It is.
23:47
No. Do you feel like,
23:49
like La Raza? Like some people like gatekeep,
23:51
like, say they're at the top but they're like,
23:53
OK, I'm at the top but I'm not helping anyone else
23:56
I, I think there's some people that you see
23:58
them, like artists collab with really small artists that you're like
24:02
oh, like it was just maybe they just really liked
24:04
each other, you know,
24:05
like the chemistry was there.
24:06
But then I think sometimes also like people that only collab with
24:09
people on their level.
24:11
I think he's trying to be nice.
24:12
But I think people are,
24:13
people do gatekeep like they don't,
24:15
they won't collab with the,
24:18
with an underground artist unless it's from their label.
24:21
So like now you just see the same top five artists collab
24:23
with each other and it's always like the same one actually.
24:26
Like you think of those top five,
24:27
you trying to be nice.
24:28
We, we, we talk to one of them and then
24:30
I think he was the one that asked them.
24:31
It was like, who are you gonna collab with on
24:33
your album? And he's like,
24:34
the same ones and then he named the other four,
24:36
you know, so I think that they do have like some
24:39
sort of plan to like just keep each other up there like
24:42
the people like they're friends.
24:44
Yeah. Yeah, because then at the end of the day
24:46
it is a business and competition is competition.
24:49
That's true. But there's room at the top for everybody,
24:52
right? There's no room.
