Hi, mom.
00:02
Ok.
00:03
Don't get mad.
00:04
But isn't it beautiful?
00:16
No.
01:25
Mm mm.
01:27
No, no.
02:41
But mom isn't your lip liner tattoo and your eyebrows too.
03:29
So the reason why I got this tattoo of my dog um is because he
03:35
means a lot to me, this guy is literally my best friend.
03:39
I mean, even though he can't talk to me, he's there for me emotionally
03:43
he's there to make me feel better.
03:45
He's there to listen.
03:47
He's more than just a pet to me.
03:49
He's my son.
03:50
He's my, he's part of the family.
03:54
Good boy.
03:56
I have this tattoo which you can't really see a lot, but it says
04:01
I love you from my mom and my dad.
04:04
So I got this tattoo written and kind of done.
04:09
Um my senior year of college and I mostly did it because I'm
04:13
really close to my parents.
04:15
Um I didn't have a good relationship with them um, all throughout
04:20
high school, but it's definitely something that has grown
04:22
with time.
04:23
We've gone through a lot and it's just something that happened
04:26
and evolved.
04:26
So I wanted to get something that represented um our feelings
04:31
and our relationship together um if I'm over stressed, if
04:34
I'm ever unmotivated, which happens, um I just look at it and
04:38
I'm reminded of why I'm doing it.
04:41
Um Why I'm here and really why I am who I am, my name is and I have
04:47
a tattoo on my back.
04:49
That's right there.
04:51
Um The tattoo basically represents uh live love.
04:55
Volleyball.
04:55
Volleyball has been in my life for over 12 years and it has given
04:59
me so many opportunities in life such as going to a four year
05:02
university.
05:03
I found an opportunity to play for UC Merced as our first ever
05:08
student athlete recruit.
05:09
We started a new women's program there.
05:12
And from there, you know, volleyball has always impacted
05:15
my life in such a positive way.
05:17
You know, when I had mentioned to my parents about getting
05:19
this tattoo, they agreed and they're very happy.
05:23
They thought, you know, it's a good idea, something to remind
05:25
me of what has taken me somewhere in life.
05:27
You know, my dad was actually really excited and he was going
05:30
to take me um to go get it and he stayed throughout the whole
05:33
session and ended up paying for it.
05:35
So it's just a little, you know, little memory for myself um
05:39
that I can keep with me for the rest of my life that shows me where
05:43
I started and where I came from.
